Symbiotic Chamber Orchestra

The combined efforts of many of Symbiotic’s artists, the SCO will present shows designed to enhance the live experience. Look forward to its first feature The Ghost & Mister Able, due to be released in the spring of 2013.

The Mission

To develop a self-sustaining chamber group that offers both artistic and financial autonomy to the performers and creators.

The Goal

To present music that challenges what it is to be pop or classical.

The Ghost & Mister Able is the SCO’s first large-scale undertaking. The five-song set
follows an illusory motive that inspires a character’s transformation. The album features
performers Freya String Quartet, Eldertone and composer Sean Neukom. The work
is being produced locally in Symbiotic’s production house: StudioSeven.
The first live performance of the album took place at First Night Pittsburgh, on December
31, 2012. The entire album is available now for streaming right here on our website.
